Terms of Service

1.1 Eligibility

If you use the Platform on behalf of another person, parish, diocese, or organization, you must have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf. You may not share your account credentials with others. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

1.2 Account Creation

Some services (apps, premium features, community participation) may require registration. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

1.3 Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. Notify us immediately at support@catholicsocialventures.org if you suspect unauthorized use.

2.1 Individual Plans

Some features (digital devotional guides, premium apps, or community memberships) may be available via subscription. Pricing is displayed at the point of purchase.

2.2 Parish/Organization Plans

Parishes, schools, or ministries may purchase group licenses. Pricing depends on users or service level and will be quoted upon request.

2.3 Large Institution Plans

For dioceses, publishers, or large organizations, pricing is negotiated individually.

2.4 Payment Processing

All payments are securely processed through Stripe. We do not collect or store credit card data.

2.5 Plan Changes

Upgrades or downgrades will be prorated and reflected in your next billing cycle.

2.6 Taxes

Taxes may be applied based on billing address and local laws. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information.

2.7 Price Changes

We may adjust prices by posting an update. Changes take effect 14 days after posting.

2.8 Payment Disputes

Disputes must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the charge.

2.9 Late Payments

If payment fails, access to paid features may be suspended until resolved.

2.10 Free Access

We may offer free plans or trial periods. Abuse of free accounts may result in suspension.

3.1 License

We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.

3.2 Feedback

We welcome suggestions and may use them without obligation to compensate you.

3.3 Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Use the Platform in a way that violates rights, laws, or Church teaching.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or misuse our software.
• Misrepresent AI-generated or automated content as human authorship without disclosure.
• Use scraping, bots, or other automated methods without permission.
• Post or transmit harmful code, spam, or malicious material.
• Share personal data of minors under 13 (or local age of consent).

3.4 Third-Party Services

Our services may integrate third-party tools (Stripe, Mailchimp, OpenAI, Google, etc.). Each has its own terms and policies.

3.5 Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Platform, your content, or violation of these Terms.

4.1 Ownership

You retain rights to the input you provide (text, uploads, prayer requests, etc.). Subject to these Terms, we assign to you any rights we hold in the generated or processed output you receive ("Content").

4.2 Similarity of Content

Due to the nature of AI and publishing workflows, outputs may be similar or identical across users. Such outputs are not considered unique to you.

4.3 Accuracy

AI and digital tools may produce errors. You are responsible for fact-checking and discerning use. Catholic Social Ventures is not liable for inaccuracies in generated content.

4.4 Use of Content for Improvement

We may use anonymized content from non-API services (apps, devotional tools, etc.) to improve our offerings. You may opt out via your account settings.

9.1 Informal Resolution

Contact support@catholicsocialventures.org with disputes. We will attempt to resolve them within 30 days.

9.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflicts of law principles.

9.3 Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, conducted in English.

9.4 Confidentiality

Arbitration proceedings remain confidential unless required by law.
